FLO & FLC Error Codes

This is Christian Staples with Arctic Spas and we’ve developed these tutorial videos to help you answer your questions about your Arctic Spa 24 hours a day.

Today, I want to talk about two error codes that we get on the top site display. One is FLO and the other is FLC. These two errors deal with the flow going through the heater and the pressure switch. The first thing that you want to do if you get these error codes, is actually take your breaker and turn it off and then turn it back on. This will reset the system. A lot of times that is all that it is. That will take care of the problem for you.

Another thing that you want to check is your skimmer and the filter area. When you look at the spa, you want to make sure that water is flowing in through the skimmer and that there’s no obstructions there. If you did have a filter in, for example, and you got something caught in the system, that can cause a FLO error. But if that’s all working properly, then the next step is that we want to look at the pressure switch.

To adjust the pressure switch, it is located right here on the heater, and there is an adjustment on top. On this one it’s a plastic dial and on some it’s a little plastic screw. What we want to do is take and turn this up to one turn clockwise, slowly until that error code goes away. So we just keep turning it up to one turn. If that doesn’t work then turn it back to its original position, so counter-clockwise, back to its original position and then keep on turning it counter-clockwise up to one turn to see if that solves the problem for you.

If that doesn’t work, most likely what you’ll need to do is replace the pressure switch.
